What’s involved in setting up a wholesale agreement?
Nothing crazy. Our wholesale coffee agreements are designed for coffee shops, restaurants, grocers, and bulk orders. There are three wholesale rates corresponding to monthly volume and length of the agreement. Basically, the more coffee you buy and the longer you commit to using our beans, the better the rate.
What kind of consulting and training does Brick & Mortar Coffee offer?
Brick & Mortar Coffee offers consulting (oriented towards those opening/operating coffee shops and restaurants) and training (for both individual baristas and cafe/restaurant staff). We prefer to begin our consulting and training by setting up a time after 3 pm at our brick-and-mortar location, and then spending time with clients in their own cafe on their own equipment.

Our consulting includes: equipment recommendations/setup, bar layout/design, coffee menu and recipe development, overall brand development, and manuals/workflow guides, and, of course, coffee roasting. Our training covers everything that touches coffee: brewing coffee, espresso & milk preparation, hospitality, etc.
Do you guys have a coffee shop or do you just roast?
Do you guys have a coffee shop or do you just roast?
We have a coffee shop attached to our roastery, located at 1666 E St Louis St, which is open to the public from 7am – 3pm. There’s a limited menu, which combines our showcase of rotating coffees plus classic coffee shop fare. The coffee shop differs from a typical retail coffee shop in a couple of ways: community seating (bar seating and a large community table), coffee-focused menu (hand brewed coffee, cold brew, and espresso based drinks and seasonals), and it’s a working roastery (pallets, smoke, noise, shipments, importers, cuppings, explosions, etc. Just be prepared).
